Quality of life can be defined many different ways for each one of us.  When we think of the things that enhance our own lives and provide it with the quality we deserve, each of us would put something different at the top of the list.  For one it might be enjoying a chance to roll a strike at the bowling alley with friends, for another it might be sitting on a river bank listening to frogs while a fishing line dangles in the water, while for still another it might be laughing out loud at a funny movie.  Whatever is at the top of our own personal lists, when it comes to defining ourselves to others, the recreational activities we enjoy speaks volumes about us.

The Logan Co. Board of MR/DD recognizes the importance of quality leisure activities for its associates.  It offers individualized activities based on the associate's interests.  This program coordinates activities between one or two persons and a volunteer or recreation staff member.  This match between persons that share similar interests will provide a satisfying experience for both and may even lead to a long lasting friendship.  Adults are surveyed on a quarterly basis to determine their interest based on seasonal activities.

The Recreation Program at RTC Industries makes it possible for  associates to participate in the events they choose.
